ATG Broadcast joins Danmon Systems Group
UK-based international system integrator ATG Broadcast Ltd announces its acquisition by Danmon Systems A/S as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Scandinavia's leading broadcast systems specialist, Danmon Systems is a world-class supplier of consultancy, solutions and services to the broadcast, post-production, professional audio, multimedia and audiovisual sectors. The company is a division of Copenhagen-based Dan Technologies A/S.
Formed in 1993, ATG expanded from an initial staff of three to the current 15. The company has provided systems for many major broadcasters and independent facilities, starting with traditional tape-based installations in the early days and migrating to workflow based digital production and transmission systems in recent years.
ATG Broadcast will continue to operate under its current name from its established headquarters in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. Graham Buchanan and Alan Pimm continue as Managing Director and Sales Director respectively. Neil Reed will become Managing Director of Custom Consoles Ltd. Custom Consoles Ltd is not included in the acquisition and will now operate as a completely separate independent company.
Danmon Systems Group A/S Managing Director Henning Brønnum and Dan Technologies A/S CEO Ole Clausen join the board of ATG Broadcast Ltd.
"This is a very healthy development both for Danmon Systems Group and ATG," Henning Brønnum comments. "We are delighted by the successful completion of negotiations. The combination of Danmon in Scandinavia and ATG Broadcast in the UK, mainland Europe and Asia Pacific regions will enable both companies to benefit from mutual experience and shared commercial strength."
"The two companies operate in very similar ways, and work closely with customers in order to deliver successful projects," adds Graham Buchanan. "We are looking forward to expanding the company to meet increased demand".
"The broadcast industry has changed and is now based around a number of large corporate groups," adds ATG Broadcast Sales Director Alan Pimm. "Typical future requirements demand high investment over extended periods. The system integration industry needs to adapt to support these changing requirements adequately. This new partnership will strengthen our relationship with existing clients and enable us to offer turnkey solutions to the largest media groups."
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Danmon Systems Group www.danmonsystems.dk now has bases in Copenhagen and Aarhus and is integrator of choice for broadcasters in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
The group also delivers successful projects in many other parts of the world. Danmon Systems Group activity includes every aspect of broadcast and electronic media technology, from ENG and SNG, to production and post-production, transmission and archiving. Danmon Systems Group operates in the corporate, academic and government sectors as well as broadcast television and radio.
ATG Broadcast www.atgbroadcast.co.uk is an independent systems integrator with an unsurpassed reputation for the technical stability, operational efficiency and affordability of its installations.
Based in Letchworth, 50 km north of London, ATG combines long experience of traditional broadcast equipment and computer-based media management systems.
ATG's purchasing power and impartial choice of equipment enable the optimal combination of available products and technologies to be provided for each project.
