New Scottish Screen Head of Talent Named

Scottish Screen has announced that Carole Sheridan has been appointed Head of Talent and Creativity taking over from Claire Chapman, who will shortly leave to head up the UK Film Council's presence in the United States.
Carole has been with Scottish Screen for the last five years and was most recently Deputy Head of Talent and Creativity.
She will take up her new position from Monday July 3.
Ken Hay, Chief Executive of Scottish Screen: "I'm delighted that Carole has agreed to take on this important role with Scottish Screen. We are very lucky to have someone with Carole's skills, experience and credibility already within the organisation.
“She has been responsible for supporting some highly innovative projects over the last few years such as the low budget features, Night People and Gamerz and for developing projects such as Andrea Arnold's Red Road, David Mackenzie's latest feature Hallam Foe and Alec and May, recently acquired by Miramax.
Carole Sheridan comments: "It's great to be in a position where I can enable the screen industries in Scotland to significantly grow over the next few years.
“I care passionately about the screen industry in Scotland and I am looking forward to seeing Scottish Screen play its part in ensuring that opportunities are seized."
