PINNACLE SYSTEMS DV500 ADOPTED BY NFTS

Pinnacle Systems’ DV500 real-time, native DV video editing solution, has been adopted by The Finishing School the National Film and Televisions School’s (NFTS) new training centre in London.
Saint John Walker, Director of the Finishing School said: “The DV500 has been in active, and constant use since our last course started in February, and we have found that a result of being able to check their effects and animation easily, the students have become increasingly confident. We chose the DV500 because we thought it would be the most suitable product for our particular needs, and it has proved to be absolutely ideal.
“We look upon the DV500 as a kind of sketchbook, a proofing tool, which allows the student to make sure the dynamics, colour and overall impression of the work is correct before committing to a full, broadcast-quality render.”

The video data and quality remains intact and unchanged from the original moment it was recorded, guaranteeing extremely high quality pictures.
In addition, it allows the effects to be output to both analogue and digital devices, thereby making it suitable for a wide range of users from broadcasters through to amateur filmmakers.
