Pinnacle Systems to present advances at VideoForum

PINNACLE Systems have revealed that VideoForum will see them exhibit Pro-ONE, Impression DVD Pro and Commotion 4.1, as well as the recently acquired FASTstudio.DV.
The Pinnacle Stand will feature hourly presentations throughout the show on all these products, plus there will be the opportunity to see Pro-ONE and FASTstudio.DV in more detail.
Pinnacle Pro-ONE is an advanced DV-based editing and authoring solution that dramatically reduces cost and production time to create sophisticated, broadcast quality video and publish interactive DVDs. Pinnacle Pro-ONE’s powerful processing engine increases productivity by reducing the time consuming process of rendering and gives videographers the artistic tools to perfect the combinations of digital effects and 3D objects in real-time. Users can combine two digital video streams with titles, graphics, and 3D objects and apply up to 10 digital video effects simultaneously in real-time.
Commotion 4.1, a new version of Pinnacle Systems’ award-winning integrated paint, compositing, and special effects software, is available stand-alone and as a key component of Pinnacle Systems’ CinéWave solution. It is the only Pinnacle application that runs on both Windows 2000/XP and Macintosh platforms. It delivers tight integration with Apple’s Final Cut Pro and supports Mac OS X in addition to Mac OS 9.
The next featured product, Impression DVD-Pro, is an affordable DVD authoring program. Specifically designed for video editors and graphic artists, it is unique in that it allows users to import a single file that contains complete, ready-to-use menu designs. Businesses can optimise the benefits of this capability by having a graphic artist create sophisticated menus and buttons using familiar tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw. The file can then be used as a corporate template, similar to a Power Point template. The software includes everything users need to create interactive DVD titles with up to eight audio tracks and up to 32 subtitle tracks.
Finally, VideoForum provides Pinnacle with their first opportunity to demonstrate FASTstudio.DV as part of their own range. FASTstudio.DV is a professional editing program ideal for digital video editors who want to move beyond the basic editing tools of most entry-level and mid-range non-linear editing applications.
FASTstudio.DV has been designed to fully utilise multiple processors. It is truly multi-tasking – you can select and play clips, create titles, play the timeline – whilst effects are rendered in the background. It delivers constant workflow to give unrivalled productivity. The InstantSave feature ensures your work is always in a saved state, so you will never lose work in case of system failure.
