FINISHING SCHOOL CHOOSE COMBUSTION

THE Finishing School, London’s Post-Production and Effects training centre set up by the National Film and Television School, have announced that they have chosen combustion from Discreet for their Art and Practice of Digital Compositing course.
Ten combustion licences replace After Effects as the main day-to-day teaching software on the course, although flame, Henry, Avid DS and Commotion are always used.
St. John Walker, Director of The Finishing School, said: “Combustion’s keying colour and tools are an exemplary way of showing students how important processes work. The upgrade path to flame is also valuable, and we’ve been impressed with the speed, which always helps when training.”
The Finishing School’s relationship with Discreet has been cemented by being awarded Discreet Training Centre status, and runs short accredited courses in Flame, 3ds max, and combustion
This is understood to be the first long form combustion course in Europe. (CD)
