Pinnacle Systems are launching Edition DV500, an all-in-one professional-level video editing and CD/DVD authoring solution that delivers a comprehensive package of content creation features and offers "unbeatable value for money".
Pinnacle is bringing together the power of its DV500 hardware - which includes a breakout box for analogue and digital input/output - and the powerful Edition video editing software. Edition DV500, which will carry a RRP of just £549 inclusive of VAT, is ideal for corporate video producers, event videographers and multimedia content developers who want to use the technology of the future without paying for costly upgrades.
Suitable for use on single or dual 600MHz processor PCs, Edition DV500 is designed to appeal to a wide range of users. Amongst its key features are the ability to mix footage from both analogue and digital sources, two video streams with wipes and dissolves, real-time image correction, and real-time transitions and titles. Capturing can also be carried out without worrying about the file size, and the product also enables users to adjust audio input levels during capture.
Video production is managed through Pinnacle’s new software package, Edition, which is built on the same broadcast technology used by TV stations throughout Europe, and provides users with a myriad of visual effects, 3D transitions and titling.
Edition offers an advanced sub-pixel processing engine that guarantees broadcast quality for 2D/3D digital video effects, colour correction tools and slow motion capabilities. Incorporated is Pinnacle’s InstantSave technology which ensures that the user’s projects are always in a saved state, removing the worry of losing work. Edition can also burn play-at-once DVDs and SVCDs directly from the timeline. Advanced editing is possible through unlimited timeline tracks, nestable sequences and containers for editing even the most complex projects. Users will find a customisable interface that is both fast and efficient.
