BSKYB AND NTL AGREE PROGRAMME DEAL

BRITISH Sky Broadcasting and NTL have announced a programme supply deal designed to increase both the penetration of BskyB’s channels and the viewing choices of NTL customers.
The deal will result in significant savings for NTL over the term of the contract and increased guaranteed revenue streams to BSkyB.
The agreement includes a mutual commitment to offer the other new services which either NTL or BSkyB develop in the future, including channels, pay-per-view sports events and enhanced interactive TV services.
The agreement is subject to regulatory approval and expires in September 2005.
BSkyB’s premium channels and Sky One will continue to be carried by NTL on a month-to-month basis pursuant to an industry ratecard until regulatory approval.
