BFI SET DATE FOR SUTHERLAND TROPHY AWARD

THE BRITISH Film Institute (BFI) will award the 25th Sutherland Trophy on the closing night of the Regus London Film Festival on November 16 at the Odeon Leicester Square.
Twelve films from around the world have been shortlisted for this year’s trophy, to be awarded to a director with the most original and imaginative feature film, screened during the two-week festival.

The shortlisted films for the trophy are ‘The Low Down’ directed by Jamie Thraves; ‘Eeny Meeny’ directed by Alice Nellis; ‘Santitos’ directed by Alejandri Springhall; ‘The Truth About Tully’ directed by Hilary Birmingham; ‘The Way of the Gun’ directed by Christopher McQuarrie; ‘Uneasy Riders’ directed by Jean-Pierre Sinapi; ‘You Can Count On Me’ directed by Kenneth Lonergan; ‘Sexy Beast’ directed by Jonathon Glazer; ‘I Won’t Go Back Home’ directed by Albertini Carri; ‘Deveeri’ directed by Kavitha Lankesh and ‘Post Mortem’ directed by Louis Belanger.
