ADRIAN REES JOINS DTS AS MANAGING DIRECTOR

DIGITAL Theatre Systems (DTS) have appointed Adrian Rees as Managing Director.
Rees, who will be based in the UK office in Berkshire, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of DTS’ audio businesses in Europe, and will guide strategic initiatives in both established and emerging markets. He will oversee European sales and marketing of DTS film encoding, as well as pro-audio, home theatre and broadcast applications.
Vice President and General Manager, DTS Cinema Group Andrea Nee said: “As we look to extend the already powerful DTS brand and product lines across the globe, Adrian’s extensive business acumen will be extremely important to us. He has a proven track record of success in sales and marketing, as well as product development and technology that will be valuable as we expand our market share in the UK and throughout Europe.”
Rees joins DTS from tele-cine manufacturer Cintel International , where he has served as CEO and Managing Director for the past two and a half years.
A physicist by training, Rees was educated at the University of Manchester where he was awarded a B.Sc in Physics. His career started with the British Aircraft Corporation as a research engineer.
