Ascent Media strenghtens EMEA Systems Integration Unit

Ascent Media Systems & Technology Services has appointed Charlie McCaw as Director of Bids and Proposals for the EMEA region.
McCaw will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bid process including preparation of proposals and technical and commercial documentation. He will also oversee all the logistical elements of the bid from initial planning to delivery of proposals in line with client needs and liaising closely with key technology vendor and internal engineering and design specialists within Ascent Media.
McCaw will be based at Ascent Media’s Stephen Street site and report directly in to Senior Vice President, Systems & Technology Services EMEA, Richard Scott.
“Charlie brings a wealth of highly relevant experience of the systems business, which, combined with recent product marketing expertise from industry leading technology vendors, means he is very well qualified to drive the development of our bid strategy,” commented Scott. “He will be key in ensuring that we are responsive to our client needs and will help refine our many processes to support the development of our systems integration business across the entire EMEA region.”
McCaw has extensive experience of the broadcast industry, having worked with a number of organisations since 1975 when he joined the BBC. Prior to joining Ascent Media, he was Head of Operations EMEA, Harris Systems, where he managed the delivery and support of a wide range of software products and was responsible for key customer accounts.
McCaw has also held engineering and management roles with BBC Capital Projects followed by a number of roles with leading technology vendors in the broadcast market. During his career he has been Programme Marketing Manager at Encoda Systems, Marketing Manager News at Thomson Broadcast and Vice President, Systems and Strategic Development, Grass Valley EAME.
