ImaginAsian Entertainment chooses ON-AIR K Series

ON-AIR Systems, developer of broadcast automation solutions, has further strengthened its position in the US broadcasting industry having fulfilled an order from multi-media entertainment company, ImaginAsian Entertainment Inc.
The New York-based broadcaster has chosen to play out ImaginAsian TV (iaTV), its satellite and cable network targeted at the USA's 14 million-strong Asian-American community, using two ON-AIR playKast master playout systems from the ON-AIR 'K' Series range of broadcasting solutions.
"ON-AIR playKast is a very impressive, versatile system that delivers workflow efficiencies and lets us accomplish our goal to be as IT and PC centric as possible," said Anil Srivatsa, EVP, Affiliate Sales and New Business Development at ImaginAsian TV. "It gives us the flexibility we need to manage our schedules effectively and because it is scalable, we can easily extend our playout capacity as we grow without disrupting established routines."
Under a separate services agreement, the playKast systems have been installed in Globecomm Systems' broadcasting centre on Long Island, New York, where Globecomm provides 24/7 hosting services for iaTV. Globecomm also provides iaTV's onward transmission services, including a complete satellite distribution service on the Intelsat Americas 13 satellite platform which now reaches 95% of US households.
