Alpha TV acquires Ross Synergy MD-X

Ross Video has announced that Alpha TV, one of the top broadcasters in Greece, has invested in the Ross Synergy 4 MD-X multi-definition production switcher.
“We chose the Synergy 4 MD-X for its high number of input channels and for its speed and ease of operation, as well as its interfacing abilities to external equipment,” said Constantinos Colombus, Technical Director, Alpha TV. “Synergy has superior custom control macro buttons and mnemonics. We are very pleased to be working with Ross.“
The switcher is being used for Alpha TV’s prime-time news bulletin, which is broadcast from their modern main news studio, and is also equipped with a large rear projection multi-viewer. The installation was completed in October 2005. Alpha TV boasts some of the best and most popular news, variety, entertainment and current affairs programs.
The Synergy MD-X series are fully equipped multi-definition production switchers supporting a wide variety of SD and HD video formats.
Synergy MD-X does not require costly upgrades when moving from SD to HD.
