BBC Wales Invests in Ross Synergy 3 Switcher

Ross Video have announced that BBC Wales have purchased a Ross Synergy 3 Video Production Switcher.
Sold via Gee Broadcast Systems, a Ross reseller within the UK, the Synergy 3 Video Production Switcher will be installed in Studio C1, the largest studio in the BBC Wales TV Centre in Cardiff.
Sharon Quigley, Ross Video Manager of International Sales for EAIME, said: “We are very pleased BBC Wales chose to work with Ross. The proven track record of the feature-packed Synergy 3 Video Production Switcher is the perfect solution for their live production needs.”
The Synergy 3 is a popular choice for live news and event production purposes. Ross Video and Gee Broadcast scheduled a product demonstration with the BBC Wales engineering and production staff. After a thorough evaluation and a visit to another Ross customer site in Wales, the BBC’s decision was to invest in the Ross Synergy 3.
The BBC will be using the Ross Synergy 3 for drama, light entertainment and live event productions including the forthcoming UK Parliamentary elections.
Peter Full, Technology Specialist, Studios & OB’s, BBC Wales, commented: “We chose the Ross Synergy 3 Video Production Switcher as the specification and price matched our requirements and budget. Our operators liked the intuitive, user-friendly control panel. The warranty is very comprehensive and we have been promised good service support with quick turnaround of spares.”
