EXTREME SPORTS CHANNEL RUN WORLD GAMES

THE first ever televised World Extreme Games are taking place on December 1 to 3 in Melbourne.
The games, which are being run by the UK-based Extreme Sports Channel, promises a packed schedule over the three days.
Amongst other broadcasters, the games will be televised on Channel 4, Fox Sports Net, AXN Channels Worldwide, DSF, Kanal 5, Sky Sports and TCS Sports City.
Spectators will see 500 of the world’s extreme sports talent battle it out on the vert ramp, street course, dirt jumps, steep hill course and water. Athletes, male and female, will travel from all over the world, and will represent more than 20 countries.
People attending the three-day event will experience a festival that will include an unsigned band competition, breakdancing gigs, a DJ mixing competition and live performances from some of the top Australian bands. (CD)
