National Geographic selects Broadcast Text as language localisation partner

Broadcast Text International, one of the world's largest language versioning companies, has announced that National Geographic has chosen its subtitling services again and signed a multi year agreement for the Scandinavian feed.
By selecting Broadcast Text as its language localisation partner, National Geographic will have access to all the aggregated language knowledge within the Broadcast Text Group, such as research databases and translation memories. Plus its viewers will be assured that the subtitles will hold the highest possible standard and quality.
"We're delighted to execute this agreement with National Geographic. This proves that there are significant benefits from liaising with a company such as Broadcast Text. We know that quality service is best achieved in the target country and that is why we aim for local presence in as many target language areas as possible. We're confident that we will meet with National Geographic's high expectations", said Björn Andersson, Group Managing Director at Broadcast Text.
Worldwide, National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) programmes have so far been received by 170 million households in 148 countries and in 27 languages. A business enterprise owned by National Geographic Television & Film (NGT&F), FOX Entertainment Group and the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), NGCI contributes to the National Geographic Society's commitment to exploration, conservation and education.
