Fremantlemedia sells the latest reality hits to Scandinavia

Fremantle International Distribution (FID), the distribution arm of global production outfit FremantleMedia, has sold a slate of top US reality, lifestyle and factual programming to leading Scandinavian broadcasters.
Justin Hatfield, Vice President Sales, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia at FID secured this latest raft of deals.
Major pan-Scandinavian broadcaster Viasat has picked up series 1 and 2 of the hugely successful fashion reality series ‘Project Runway’, while series 4 of ratings hit ‘American Idol’ has gone to MTV Finland, TV4 Sweden and IBC in Iceland.
‘The Apprentice’ has also proved to be a favourite in the Nordic region with series 2 and 3 snapped up by MTV3 in Finland and IBC, Iceland. FID has pre-sold the latest offering from ‘Jamie Oliver’s Fresh Productions’, ‘Jamie’s Great Italian Escape’ to SBS Broadcasting, which has also acquired the Talkback-produced How Clean Is Your House? for its pan-regional commercial channels. Viasat has also acquired series 1 and 2 of ‘The Sex Inspectors’, which looks under the bed sheets to help couples with their sexual problems and frustrations.
TV Norge in Norway and Kanal 5 in Sweden have acquired the first two series of the ground breaking natural world series, ‘Naked Science’. Produced by British independent producer, Pioneer Productions, the two series set out to uncover the truth behind some of the most popular and controversial scientific topics of our time. Each episode delivered in the form of an investigation into a scientific mystery features the latest CGI techniques, dramatic reconstructions and special effects.
