ITV Announce Latest Series Under Ongoing Save Money Brand

News Image
ITV has announced that it has commissioned the laster series under its Save Money brand; Good Food to be fronted by Susanna Reid and chef Matt Tebbutt.

The Save Money Factual Entertainment brand kicked-off the year with the first of a range of shows aimed at offering viewers an unmissable guide to smart and savvy household spending.

The brand launched successfully earlier this month with one-hour special Save Money: Lose Weight, presented by Sian Williams and Dr Ranj Singh road-testing the value and effectiveness of some of the most popular diet and eating plans available.

It continued with Save Money: Good Health (6x30), currently on-screen, which sets out to give viewers smart shopping and spending tips guiding viewers on how to get the best value on the range of health items out there by road testing the latest health fixes and over the counter health products.

Now, ITV has announced the latest series, Save Money: Good Food [8x30], in which Susanna and Matt will offer top tips on how to be a smart spender without compromising on quality or taste and prepare delicious meals every day of the week for under £5 for all of the family.

Food is the biggest, weekly household expense yet 92 per cent of people have no idea what their weekly food bill is. Susanna and Matt will spend time with a different family each week to inspire them to save bags of cash by avoiding waste, with no-nonsense cooking to create delicious meals every day of the week for under a fiver.

Commissioned by Priya Singh, Commissioning Editor at ITV, and Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment, Save Money: Good Food will demonstrate cooking advice along with a wealth of money-saving tips each week, based on consumer research into the real daily challenges facing family food budgets.

Priya said: "Who doesn't want to get more for their money, especially in these belt tightening times. First diet and health and now with food, we hope the Save Money brand provides an essential guide for aspirational living without breaking the bank. We're really pleased to have Susanna Reid and Matt Tebbutt as our hosts for Save Money: Good Food in this inspiring, informative and entertaining new series."

Executive Producers for Crackit Productions are Hannah Springham and Elaine Hackett.

Elaine Hackett from Crackit Productions added: "Susanna Reid and Matt Tebbutt are firm family favourites and who better to inspire people to create a menu that's achievable price wise as well as tasty.

"As producers, we're delighted to be working with them both, and with ITV to create a returnable format with Susanna – her first on primetime ITV."

Save Money will continue to offer lively, formatted consumer programmes going forward, giving viewers an entertaining and vital guide to getting better value for their hard-earned cash.
