Pro-Bel acquires Vistek

Pro-Bel, the premier manufacturer and supplier of routing switchers, signal processing, master control, automation and workflow technologies, has announced the acquisition of Vistek Electronics Limited.
Vistek is a privately owned company, based in the UK, and a global supplier of interface products to the broadcast media industry.
“We believe the integration of Vistek’s complementary product line into the well established Pro-Bel range will benefit our customers,” Graham Pitman, CEO, Pro-Bel Group explained. “Not only are both companies at the forefront of the HD transition, but jointly we have technology that provides improved digital media workflow for the Broadcast/IT crossover and addresses our customers need to reduce costs.”
Vistek celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2006 and Pro-Bel has been in business since 1977. Both companies have been experiencing considerable growth driven by increased market share.
“The merger will significantly expand Pro-Bel’s offering to the global broadcast market and will also extend our reach into the cable and satellite market,” Pitman said, adding: “Clearly, the combination of Vistek and Pro-Bel creates a more powerful entity. It is good news for our customers and good news for our employees. Pro-Bel will be more able to meet the needs of customers and will have more resources to invest in developing new technology.”
