BAFTA SEEK SPONSOR FOR INTERACTIVE AWARDS

BAFTA have announced that they are seeking a sponsor for their annual Interactive Entertainment Awards.
Lord Puttnam, Vice President of BAFTA, said: “The BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards have been a success right from the start. Each year the number of entries, quality of work, and support from the industry go from strength to strength. This is a unique opportunity for a sponsor to participate in a prestigious event and play a prominent role in the exhilarating, fast-paced interactive entertainment sector.”
Established in 1998 and initially sponsored by ICL, the Interactive Entertainment Awards aim to acknowledge and recognise excellence in all new media – from CDs, DVDs and games through to art installations, WAP and the Web.
Winners at this year’s awards included David Bowie, the BBC, Pokemon and the Cartoon Network UK.
Any interested parties should contact Joy Barrett, Awards Officer for Interactive Entertainment at BAFTA. Tel: (020) 7292 5823 or E-mail: [email protected]
