Studio Alba upgrades to HD

Studio Alba, the Stornoway studio & postproduction facilities house, has upgraded its editing facilities with the installation of Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD & Discreet Smoke.
The Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD system is packed with powerful film and video editing features that includes the ability to mix HD, SD, DV and film formats in real-time in a single timeline, mixed-format, real-time multicamera editing; advanced colour correction and much more.
Discreet Smoke is an all-in-one integrated editing finishing system, providing multi-layered capabilities with unmatched speed. Smoke features Total Resolution Freedom in a robust non-linear editing and finishing system, providing editors with the complete flexibility to edit media at any resolution, aspect ratio, and frame rate in a single timeline; to mix them in compositions; and to master to any desired output format.
Studio Alba has also acquired two new Poliscript subtitling units from Screen Subtitling Systems to contend with the workflow which has increased substantially due to the quality of work produced.
