CHYRON HD DUET’S EASTERN SUCCESS

CHYRON Corporation have sold seven Chyron High Definition Duets to two major Korean broadcasters.
Seoul Broadcasting Systems (SBS) and Korean Broadcasting Systems (KBS) will be using the powerful real-time video processing graphics platform provided by Chyron ’s High Definition Duet.
Chyron delivered five dual-channel HD Duets to the privately-owned SBS, which went on-air last September with a high definition service to Seoul and other major Korean cities. The HD Duets are being used for live sports programmes and post production requirements and employ a new Korean language interface, developed in Korea with Chyron. SBS made an extensive study of the HD market and available equipment before selecting Chyron HD Duets.
Roger Henderson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chyron, said: "Chyron Group Asia, our sales distribution office located in Hong Kong, continues to expand our customer base in the important Asian market. Duet is our best selling product in that market. The two Korean orders came on top of the sale of two SD Duets for Zee TV in
India, and two SD Duets for Pacific Convergence Corporation in Hong Kong."
Chyron have also delivered two dual-channel HD Duets with Lyric, Chyron's high-end graphics application, to KBS, a state-owned enterprise operating nationally with four channels, two terrestrial and two satellite.
The HD Duets with Lyric are employed for post production work using Korean characters. (CD)
