QUANTEL BUILD IN EDITBOX CHOICE OPTION

QUANTEL have announced the introduction of ‘Editbox Choice’ programme that offers a ‘build to order’ option for their successful non-linear editing range.
In addition, Quantel’s existing editing products capabilities are further enhanced with more features and increased power across the range.
Editbox Choice aims to extend the capabilities of Quantel’s successful and popular non-linear editing system to the promo and shortform markets. The Editbox Choice Programme allows users to self-configure an ideal Editbox for their particular application from a combination of options.
Nigel Turner, Quantel’s Marketing Director, said: “We are hugely excited about the possibilities that a ‘built to order’ Editbox offers. Effectively this enables smaller post houses or broadcast graphics suites to buy into the power of Editbox, adding as much capability as they require and whenever they want it.
“Focusing on the promo market and shortform business was an inevitable choice for us to make. The Editbox toolset with its easy archive and reversioning capabilities make it ideal for a busy promo department, whether independent or in-house. By creating a lower entry point we are allowing customers complete choice over the way the system is configured, selecting from a range of options including storage, layers and workstation components.”
Editbox Choice allows greater flexibility in choosing a system for a broad range of applications, including commercials, trailers, episodic effects, shortform and now increasingly promos.
All systems ship with the latest version 8.18 software, maintaining the core feature set and all systems continue to offer full power dual bandwidth capability. This maintains an easy upgrade path for future developments across the range.
Higher up the range, Editbox FX has been powered up with extra storage and a range of new features in the latest version 8.18 software release, including improved auto conform (OMFI), Clipnet, captioning developments, graphical keyframe control, lens effects and background loading.
Editbox Choice is available worldwide, as are all enhancements to the editing range. (CD)
