LACIE CELEBRATE TEN YEARS IN UK

LACIE, a company that specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of cross platform, high-end mass storage, digital video and colour management computer peripherals, are celebrating their tenth year of business in the UK.
LaCie started their UK business in 1991, under the company name of lectronique d2. Over the past ten years the company have masterminded a series of acquisitions, including the purchase of US disk manufacturers LaCie from Quantum Corporation in 1995. The European manufacturers have since adopted the LaCie corporate identity and are now one of the world’s leading desktop storage and colour management solutions specialists.
Founded in Paris in 1989 their London office was opened in 1991. The subsidiary grew rapidly basing their success on innovative products, good design, swift maintenance and support. The UK is now one of the largest and fastest growing markets for LaCie and is part of an international network of offices spanning Europe, Asia, Pacific Rim and North America.

In addition, the recent unveiling of LaCie’s PocketDrive hard drives PocketDrive CDRW devices have led to record UK sales and confirmation that after ten years, LaCie still have a lot to offer UK consumers and business technology customers. (CD)
