OMNIBUS' MD JOINS MANAGEMENT DATA BOARD
FOLLOWING last year's merger of Leicestershire based OmniBus Systems and German company Management Data AG, Brian Paisley, Group Managing Director of OmniBus Systems, has been appointed an executive board member of Management Data.
Paisley will use his extensive experience of the broadcast industry to lead the group's activities in the television market. He will also continue in his present role at OmniBus and represent the company on the executive board.
Paisley said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring the knowledge I have gained at OmniBus over the last two years to the wider Management Data forum. This is a particularly exciting time for the group because the wide range of software services we offer are becoming major growth areas in the broadcast industry."
Paisley joined OmniBus in March 1998 from Tektronix/Grass Valley where he was latterly director of the Video and Networking Division systems group in Europe. During his time with the company, he was also director of marketing, customer support and the video editing division.
A chartered engineer for 15 years, he began his career at the BBC where he designed major capital projects including the complete refurbishment of all the corporation's news studios.
In 1987 he subsequently moved to Drake Electronics where he established and led the systems division that not only completed major projects for the BBC and the European Parliament but also, under his stewardship, grew to provide 50 per cent of the company's turnover. (GB)
