NMTT TO PRODUCE THEMED SHORT FILMS

NEW Media Technology Training (NMTT) have announced that they will produce and distribute 5 x 5-minute films on the theme of foreign nationals living in Ireland.
These films will be post produced at NMTT and distributed online via the NMTT website at www.hypermedia7.com. The project will enable talented filmmakers to experiment with the Internet as a future distribution medium. The films will be shot with the constraints of web-based broadcasting in mind to ensure a quality product despite bandwidth limitations. NMTT have begun to develop a number of short scripts for the project and are interested in hearing from talented scriptwriters who would like their projects to move quickly into production.
With NMTT covering all equipment and web development costs for this project, the five short films will be web-cast. NMTT will provide necessary web development skills and server space for on-line distribution and will provide film production equipment as required.
NMTT will develop and maintain a sophisticated web based environment for films – including photo stills, scripts, storyboards, diaries and ‘talk to talent’. Films will be shot on Mini DV or DV Pro and edited on Final Cut Pro at NMTT. The final films will be optimised for web-based broadcast and made available via the NMTT web site in Quicktime format.
NMTT courses focus on developing dynamic content for online distribution and graduates of the courses have produced online films and animated shorts.
NMTT graduates have won training contracts with the European Broadcasting Union, Geneva; Napier University, Edinburgh; Scottish Screen, FAS and the Irish Professional Photographers Association.
The Institute of Commercial Management accredits all of the NMTT courses. Based in the UK, ICM are an internationally recognised examining and certifying board that accredits courses throughout Europe.
Course details are available at www.hypermedia7.com or by calling tel: 00 353 (1) 478 0905. (CD)
