Ross Video Offers Support For ParkerVision CameraMan
Ross Video has announced the ParkerVision CameraMan Robotic Camera now has a direct interface with Ross Synergy digital production switchers and OverDrive Integrated Production Control System at WAWS in Jacksonville, FL.
Ross Video continually releases additional features and improvements and has added yet another device to an already extensive list of controllable products. The recent release of version 6.1 software for the Synergy MD/X family of switchers now offers support for the ParkerVision CameraMan. This allows Ross Video to integrate existing ParkerVision Camera installations into the new Multi-Definition control rooms. Ross Video customers will be able to get one step closer to their High Definition news productions by allowing them to leverage existing Standard Definition installations until they move to a High Definition Camera.
"I really appreciate the extra effort that Ross put into getting this interface completed," said Doug Crall, Director of Engineering, WAWS. "It allowed us to take advantage of the power of the Ross OverDrive system and will also save us money by protecting our investment in our ParkerVision Cameras."
"We're pleased to work with WAWS to ensure their facility has full device control with the OverDrive Integrated Production Control System and Synergy MD multi-definition production switcher," said David Ross, CEO, Ross Video. "Ross offers advanced integration with a long list of devices used in live production."
OverDrive is a highly flexible and scalable production control system with a real-time LiveLink MOS interface to the newsroom editorial system. The extensive device control capabilities of Ross Video standard definition and multi-definition production switchers combined with OverDrive gives users the ability to execute a more consistent, efficient, and sophisticated news production. The Synergy MD/X and Vision series are fully equipped multi-definition production switchers supporting a wide variety of SD and HD video formats.
