COLLABORATION between BBC Technology and NeTune Communications has resulted in a radical timesaving evolution in the theatrical film production process.
BBC Technology have the global connectivity capabilities which enable NeTune's revolutionary proprietary ShowRunner package to send digitised dailies from a film being produced in England to a Hollywood studio, ensuring viewing within hours of the end of the shooting day.
BBC Technology can use a satellite network link to deliver digitised dailies from virtually any shooting location in the world. NeTune relies on BBC Technology's communications engineers to ingest, store and forward the daily rushes.
With 57°W to 57°E visibility, the BBC Technology London teleport is uniquely equipped to feed dailies to Southern California in a single hop, without compromising either security or quality of the original images. This traffic uses the technical and logistical capabilities of the BBC Technology communications network to complement NeTune's highly advanced communications services which have state of the art security and encryption capabilities.
