BBC Ventures Group appoints MD for BBC Technology

BBC Ventures Group, the umbrella name for the BBC's commercial media services division, which includes BBC Technology, BBC Broadcast, BBC Resources and Kingswood Warren Ventures, has appointed Ann Wilson as Managing Director of BBC Technology - it was announced today.
Ann's role will be to lead BBC Technology in the global exploitation of its products and solutions to the external market place and ensure that the business continues to deliver its service and required cash and cost savings back to the BBC.
Ann joins BBC Technology from Arthur D. Little where she was Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Financial Industries Europe. Her focus was on the development and implementation of business strategies and the creation of new operating models. Her clients included Centrica and Shell Technology. Prior to this, Ann held a number of senior posts including CEO of PHS (Philips Home Services), a US subsidiary of Origin and Philips Electronics, and Head of Financial Services Practice, Europe at Cambridge Technology Partners. She started her career at IBM.
