Twofour makes multi-million pound investment in new premises

Twofour Productions, one of the country's largest regional independent television production companies, is investing some £2 million in a move to new state-of-the-art offices and studios in Plymouth.
The investment represents Twofour's faith in the future of broadcasting and is a massive new commitment to the television sector in the South West.
Twofour's 130 staff are due to make the move to the 35,000 sq ft offices at the SkyTech building in Plymouth in May.
Caroline Norbury, South West Screen Chief Executive, said: "Twofour Productions is one of the most successful and innovative media companies in the South West, setting an example of excellence for the region. As a major industry player, Twofour brings enormous benefit to Plymouth and the surrounding area. The impressive growth of Twofour is a testament to its commitment to growing local talent and its investment in the creative sector in the South West."
Council Leader Tudor Evans said "This is a tremendous boost for creative industries in Plymouth and I wish Twofour Productions every success. Their commitment and investment in the city, together with their confidence and development of the local skills base, is great news for Plymouth."
Twofour received a significant grant from South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) to help make the move.
Richard Hoskin, Business Investment Adviser with SWRDA, said: "Selective Finance for Investment is focused on high-quality, innovative, knowledge-based projects that provide skilled jobs in areas of significant need. This project fits all of those criteria. The creation of 36 highly skilled jobs will add considerably to the development of a strong commercially sustainable media sector in the South West".
Twofour's Charles Wace added: "At last we will have the space to bring all the different areas of our business together under one roof.
"The building will house large dedicated production facilities including 12 edit suites, and offices for our many production teams. It will also give us space to make huge improvements to the technical facilities for the multimedia design team. The move comes not a moment too soon."
