New collaboration boosts scriptwriting in the south west

Cheltenham Film Studios and independent producers Wildfire are collaborating on a new initiative, Storyville, in the south west of England.
The project's objective is to produce quality films which "enrich and entertain", and also constitute a platform for education and development within Gloucestershire.
Storyville is dedicated to film production in the regions and will focus on the development of indigenous writers and stories, plus the film infrastructure of associated trades. They're taking a fresh approach by launching a production under which new film professionals work alongside experienced practitioners, followed up by a series of open 'Making of' seminars covering the production process.
The first production planned is 'A Soldier's Tunic', an original ten-minute script set just after the Crimean War and to be filmed in Cheltenham, with a budget of around £40,000.
