MILLER ANNOUNCE NEW PRODUCTS FOR NAB 2001

MILLER have announced that their new Heavy Duty (HD) tripod systems for news gathering and EFP, as well as a new 150mm fluid head the DS60 for sports/EFP, will be on display at NAB 2001.
The Miller DS60 delivers the rock solid stability of 150mm ball-levelling in a 4:4:4 pan/tilt and balancing system. Four selectable pan and tilt positions offer ultra smooth drag from medium to heavy resistance, while four counterbalance positions and a 100mm offset sliding plate range let users balance camera and lens payloads from 33lb to 55lb with absolute confidence and stability.
The DS60 also features an additional tilt safety lock that lets the user set up their camera in a horizontal position without risk of payload instability. The DS60 is offered in a choice of three systems with Miller’s new HD 150mm two-stage carbon and single-stage aluminium tripods with mid-level spreader, Quick-Lok vertical leg clamping, detachable rubber feet and dolly wheel system.
The Arrow 50 fluid head, establishing itself as the new benchmark for news, is now available in systems with the Miller HD 100 tripod, a lightweight, two-stage carbon fibre system, that is stronger, lighter, and more compact for transport than any other capacity location tripod. With lightening fast Quick-Lok vertical leg clamping, patented split carry handle and variable mid-level spreader, the HD 100 combines with the Arrow 50 for the most versatile heavy duty, light weight ENG system available.
Completing the Miller line-up at NAB 2001 will be Arrow 50 lightweight ENG systems as well as the innovative Digital Support range of fluid head systems: The DS5 for Mini DV; DS10 and DS20 for DVCAM and lightweight DVCPRO; DS25 for ENG-configured camcorders with DVCAM, DVCPRO, Digital-S and SX format VTR’s; the DS30 for camcorders and dockables with extra battery and on-camera lighting payloads. The Miller Projib camera jib arm completes the line-up, and features a new flexible LCD mini-screen mount for remote monitoring.
