UNIQUE ID TO SHOWCASE CAKES REMOTE AT NAB

UNIQUE ID are to showcase their CakeS RemotE at NAB 2001 which runs from April 23 to the 26.
CakeS delivers media asset-tracking for the video, post-production, film, and 3D animation industries. It uses a unique identifier on physical media and can show users any video, film or 3D frame ever played within the facility.
CakeS is implemented using a scripting language embedded inside a webserver, coupled to a central SQL database for data storage. CakeS can therefore be deployed throughout the enterprise without being installed on any computers. An intranet to the webserver is sufficient.
CakeS has been designed from the ground-up to be extensible and flexible.
CakeS RomotE, is a proven opportunity for content creators to generate extra revenues by enabling customers to view work-in-progress as well as their historical body of work, to compile showreels and order dubs and copies, at any time of day or night from any PC or Mac.
In addition Unique ID will be showing further integration with the industry’s main creative tools, which already include solutions from 5D, Quantel and Nothing Real.
