Landmark Films announces ID partnership

Fast-growing indie Landmark Films has joined forces with ID Distribution for the first time, awarding it the rights for 'Extraordinary Pets USA'.
This one-off documentary, made in the UK for five, looks at weird pets and their weirder owners in backwoods America, meeting, among others, the man with three tigers in his backyard; the man with two alligators in his kitchen and the woman searching for a mate for her lonely monkey.
Nick O'Dwyer, Executive Producer and Managing Director of Landmark Films, said: “This is classic Landmark territory - bringing a humanity to apparently off-beat subjects - and is a very strong programme within our five portfolio. We’re delighted to be working with iD for the first time.”
Sally Miles, Managing Director, ID Distribution, said: “Pets are so universal - they work well in any territory and in any language. Extraordinary Pets USA is as much about the people as it is about the animals, and we expect this programme to do very well internationally.”
Extraordinary Pets USA is executive produced by Nick O’Dwyer, directed by Jeremy Williams and produced by Sally Hewitt. It will be transmitted on five in Spring 2005.
