ID Distribution to sell Skeleton Stories

ID Distribution has signed a deal with US-based Atlas Media Corp securing sole international distribution rights to the compelling forensic science series 'Skeleton Stories' (6x1 hour).
The deal strengthens ID’s relationship with Atlas Media Corp, and confirms the independent distributor’s status as a major player in international TV programme sales.
Scheduled to premiere in the 4th quarter of 2005 on Discovery Health Channel in the US, Skeleton Stories tells dramatic real-life accounts from the case-books of some of America’s leading forensic anthropologists, an elite team of scientists who can reconstruct identities and causes of death from the scantest evidence. Often working in tandem with other highly specialised scientists, forensic anthropologists examine clues hidden in bones to unravel the final movements of dead souls. Skeleton Stories is a docu-drama series telling the stories of some of the most remarkable sleuthing achievements in modern criminal science.
Atlas Media Corp is one of America’s leading independent documentary, reality, lifestyle and docudrama producers. Its award-winning output can be seen regularly on The History Channel, Food Network, A&E, Discovery Channel, Discovery Health as well as international syndication and home video markets.
Sally Miles, Managing Director, ID Distribution, said: “Our relationship with Atlas Media Corp is a strong one, built on previous successes with other programmes from their impressive output. Skeleton Stories has a superb blend of scientific detail and gripping drama, and we expect it to do very well internationally.”
Bruce David Klein, President and Executive Producer, Atlas Media Corp, said: “Sally and her team continue to reach new markets and new broadcasters on our behalf and their track record is exemplary. We expect Skeleton Stories to capture the imagination of viewers worldwide with a gripping mix of real life mystery, crime, and science.”
The successful Skeleton Stories deal follows the announcement earlier this year that ID Distribution will handle worldwide television distribution rights, excluding North America, for Atlas Media Corps’ top-rated medical mystery series 'Dr G: Medical Examiner' (33x1 hour).
