PINNACLE SYSTEMS AND SONY CREATE DV BUNDLE

PINNACLE Systems, one of the leaders in broadcast and consumer video solutions, have announced that Pinnacle Systems and Sony Digital Imaging Europe are bringing together two of their products in a bundle deal designed to offer consumers the ultimate in digital video capture and editing.
Sony are set to launch eight new models of their Digital8 Handycam camcorder range. Two of these models, the TRV330 and the TRV730 will be available in a unique bundle with Pinnacle Systems’ Studio DV, the all-digital video editing card.
Studio DV is an internal PCI solution targeted at the consumer. Compatible with Pentium class PC’s, Studio DV is designed for use with camcorders including a i.Link or 1394 input and outputs, such as Sony’s Digital8 models. Studio DV includes Pinnacle Systems’ Studio video editing software, allowing users to select their best shots and arrange them in any order, adding titles, scene transitions, music, narration and special effects.
Sony’s TRV330 and TRV730 are part of a product family offering a new slimmer design and more features. Both camcorders include Memory Stick and USB terminals for easy image capture and transfer. At the top of the line, the Mega Handycam TRV730 features MPEG e-movie mode and mega-pixel digital still capture and up to 520 horizontal lines, as well as Super SteadyShot and Progressive shutter to further enhance still images. Both camcorders share Sony’s Stamina InfoLithium battery technology, Super NightShot 0 Lux system, and the i.Link (in/out) digital interface.
The TRV330/Studio DV bundle and the TRV730/Studio DV bundle together will provide consumers with a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use capture, editing and output solution at two different levels, ideal for creating fantastic quality digital video movies. (CD)
