Pyser-SGI supplies Fujinon lenses for Mersey's courtroom drama series

Pyser-SGI recently supplied Fujinon ENG lenses to Mersey Television for the production of the new regular daily 'Courtroom' drama series for Channel 4.
The lenses, four A17x7.8BERM and one A13x4.5BERM, have been used with remotely controlled cameras employed exclusively throughout the entire production.
Forty episodes of the new 'Courtroom' drama series have currently been produced. About half of these were transmitted during the summer, with more scheduled for this November and December. Each daily episode follows the progress of a criminal case through a fictional court of law, with every case being finalised at the end of each episode. Offering a long focal length combined with a wide angle of view, the Fujinon A17x7.8 is an ideal standard lens for all broadcast applications. Employing Fujinon's AT2 Aspheric Technology the lens offers an optical performance, which includes good ramping characteristics, minimal ghosting and flare, reduced chromatic aberration, and high MTF.
In addition, Fujinon's DigiPower servo technology provides features such as Quickzoom, Autocruising zoom, one shot preset, and serial digital remote control by PC - ideal for remote controlled applications.
The WidePower A13x4.5 provides the widest angle of view (over 101 degrees diagonal) of any lens in its class, offering enhanced production creativity and excellent optical quality resulting from Fujinon's use of its proprietary GO-Technology. With minimal distortion and negligible zooming with focus, the A13x4.5 also features the same benefits of DigiPower technology as the A17x7.8. Focal length of the A17x7.8 is from 7.8 to 133 mm, extending to 266 with its built-in 2x extender, while focal length of the A13x4.5 is from 4.5 to 59 mm, extending to 118 mm with its built-in 2x extender.
