Media Partners chooses On-Air and Softpeople Esperia for content management

Softpeople Esperia and On-Air Systems have been chosen by the Media Partners Group, a leader in sports marketing strategy and sports rights management, to develop a customised solution for the management of broadcast quality sports programming.
The new solution will be based on Esperia VideoNET technology and modules from On-Air Systems’ broadcast automation system, On-Air Central.
Media Partners Group will use the innovative solution in its master control room in Milan for recording, indexing, searching and archiving sports programmes and for the creation of sports highlights and other selected video clips for delivery to broadcasters and mobile phone operators.
“This is an ambitious project requiring the use of advanced broadcasting technology and the highest levels of systems integration,” said Giuseppe Ciocchetti, General Manager, Media Partners, “We have chosen Softpeople Esperia and On-Air Systems because of their unique experience within the broadcasting industry and their proven ability to work closely with broadcasters who require software modifications to satisfy specific requirements.”
On-Air Systems will develop a new software control interface for On-Air Central’s ingest module to enable remote control and rapid extraction of indexed video sequences. They will also develop a new interface for the recently released StudioTx broadcast automation solution, to satisfy Media Partners’ specific requirements for playlist generation. These interfaces will be implemented in Softpeople Esperia’s control and indexing software to manage the production of broadcast quality content and video clips for mobile phone operators. The solution will also use Matrox Digisuite hardware components.
