Scientific-Atlanta adds Techex to European Distributor Network

Scientific-Atlanta has expanded its presence in the UK marketplace with the addition of Techex as their latest distributor for content distribution and contribution products.
Focusing on solutions for UK broadcasters, both the Scientific-Atlanta UK staff and Techex’s representatives will offer a complete portfolio of products including encoders, decoders and network adapters, playout equipment, as well as broadcast monitors for studio or other applications.
“Combining Scientific-Atlanta’s more than 50 years of technology innovation with our 30 years of graphics and video experience delivers a first-rate opportunity for broadcasters in the UK market to capitalize on the performance and expertise that the people and products from these two organizations can deliver,” said Chris Bailey, Managing Director at Techex. “This synergy reaped immediate rewards when we took our first £100,000 order within a week of the agreement being signed,” he added.
Paul Coxon, Sales Director for the UK at Scientific-Atlanta Europe NV, said: “Customers with simple orders or re-orders can use Techex’s convenient online ordering service for speedy, convenient access to Scientific-Atlanta’s products.
He added that Techex's "commitment to customer service and satisfaction is one reason we chose Techex to complement our sales activities in the strategic UK market.”
In addition to serving customers from its UK offices, Techex will also offers customers online ordering capabilities at www.techex.co.uk
