SIDE EFFECTS TO HOLD PRESENTATION IN LONDON

SIDE EFFECTS Software are presenting Toronto-based C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures, and their work on ‘X-Men’ using Houdini, the award-winning 3D animation software.
The presentation will be held at the Moving Picture Company Screening Room, located at 127 Wardour Street, London, on June 20, 2001.
Side Effects Software will also present new powerful Houdini capabilities including its artist-friendly interface, customizable panels, Houdini’s integrated procedural advantages and more.
Nordin Rahhali, who served as a technical director for ‘X-Men’, will demonstrate C.O.R.E.’s work on the film including the 3D pin-map, from beginning concept to the final shot, including early tests and challenges, and Houdini's role in overcoming them.
