FILMLINK CELEBRATE FIFTH BIRTHDAY

FILMLINK, the Film and Television Commission for Hertfordshire, celebrated their fifth birthday on June 26.
In 1996 Filmlink launched their service to develop the film and television industry in Hertfordshire. In their five years they have attracted and assisted hundreds of high profile productions to Hertfordshire. These include ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone’, ‘Star Wars Episode One’ ‘The Phantom Menace’, ‘Saving Private Ryan’, and television dramas such as ‘EastEnders’, ‘Holby City’ and ‘Band of Brothers’.
Roger Harrop, Filmlink's Director, said: "In 1996 the company received six enquiries a month from location managers and producers looking for locations and production bases in Hertfordshire. Today we have built up a good reputation within the industry and now the office deals with an average of one hundred and sixty enquiries a month."
Filmlink who endeavour to provide the perfect location for film, television, commercial and pop video productions are based on the Leavesden Studios site where ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is currently based. (CD)
