First film & television industry Approved Training Provider announced

Film and Television Freelance Training (FT2) has become the first film and television industry training provider to receive the status of a Skillset Approved Training Provider.
"The Board of FT2 are extremely pleased that FT2 has been awarded approved training provider status by Skillset," said Jane Foston of ITV plc and Chair of the FT2 Board of Management. "This award validates what is already known - that FT2 provides excellent training. The approved training provider mechanism provides a clear benchmarking process for users of training, which ensures that they use suppliers who are credible and established."
Dinah Caine, Chief Executive of Skillset said: "Congratulations to FT2 on becoming Skillset's first Industry Approved Training Provider. The approvals system for training providers is currently in its pilot stage with Skillset working towards rolling out the scheme to ensure that high quality training that meets industry needs is clearly signposted for the benefit of people accessing that training and the employers recruiting them. FT2's success is very well deserved."
Sharon Goode, Director of FT2, added: "Over the last two years FT2 has achieved Investors in People status and a National Training award and this sector approval builds on that success.
"We very much welcome that the film and television industry is clearly and publicly taking on a responsibility to ensure that people entering the industry achieve the best possible training."
