CHANNEL 4 LAUNCH ANIMARATHON

CHANNEL 4 have launched a new animation lab called Animarathon, a competition for six talented animators that will be broadcast on Channel 4's Animation Zone this Autumn.
In a sleepless Animarathon, the six animators will be locked up and given 72 hours to create their own animation on the format of their choice. Without leaving the room, they have to compete against each other, the clock, and their own fatigue to create the most adventurous short animation they can.
To take part, you must be 16 or over and be free for filming from August 10 to the 13 2001. You can use whatever animation techniques and computer software packages you like, and will be provided with equipment, food and hospitality.
The winner will claim a prize and each finished film will be shown on Channel 4.
If you'd like to take part, send a short biography and examples of your work along with full contact details and your preferred method(s) of working to:
Irene Antoniades, Chrysalis Entertainment, The Chrysalis Building, Bramley Road, London W10 6SP. (CD)
