COURTYARD WORK ON REIGN OF FIRE

THE COURTYARD Studio provided a range of video services to Reign Of Fire, the Spyglass special effects movie which has recently completed shooting in Ireland.
The Courtyard Studio has always been committed to integrating new technologies into all areas of the company from Video Assist and Playback to Video Production and editing. The company provided an 'all digital' solution to the requirements for on-set video. This included recording video assist pictures onto hard disk, backing -up to digital tape, as well as the use of digital vision-mixers and portable DV VTR's for location work.
Where scenes involved ‘in-vision’ monitors such as radar screens and computer displays, the Courtyard used professional DVD players to play previously generated material onto LCD and Plasma screens. DVD offered much greater quality, flexibility and interactivity.
Reign of Fire is the latest in a long line of big budget feature films that the Courtyard Studio has been involved with in its twelve years of existence.
These films have taken them to locations as diverse as South Africa, Thailand, Europe and just about every county in Ireland.
