Postique adds five new Quantel eQs

The Quantel eQ has been the tool of choice for Michigan-based Postique for nearly two years – so much so that the company has added five new systems and retired four Editboxes and its Henry Infinity over the past several months.
“It was part of our business plan to fade out the Editboxes and replace them with the eQs,” said Paul DeMars, Director of Technical Services. “We essentially planned on going full HD to stay a leader here in the commercial market. By building up our arsenal of eQs, as HD becomes more of a reality we’ll be ahead of the game.”
Postique, a division of Grace & Wild, is a premiere video postproduction company servicing both national and regional advertising accounts. Fuelled by today's latest postproduction technologies, including High Definition, Postique has remained a leader in visual effects, editing and telecine for broadcast commercials, music videos and interactive media.
The company has been at the forefront of using its eQs to deliver the best quality video for standard television viewing. In order to enhance the picture, Postique transfers and edits the visuals, mostly for commercials, in HD and releases the finished product in SD.
“The good thing about Quantel is that before it went into HD it decided to build a whole new platform and made sure it could expand over time,” said DeMars. “It continues to stay ahead of its platform and it has been wise in updating software and applications based on better and more user-friendly ideas.”
