MGB Facilities upgrade to HD
A major investment in High Definition by Leeds based MGB Facilities means that local producers and television crews working in the area have ready access to the latest in Sony HDCAM equipment and postproduction back up.
Making an investment approaching £150,000, MGB has taken delivery of Sony’s HDCAM HDW-750P camcorder fitted with cache board and downconverter, as well as Canon HJ21 standard and HJ11 wide-angle high definition lenses. Complementing this the postproduction area has taken delivery of its first Sony HDW-M2000P HDCAM digital edit recorder/player, capable of direct input in to Editbox, Digi Beta Edit or Avid or for transfers to any VTR format, DVD or CD-R.
Mike Gaunt, Managing Director of MGB Facilities, said: “ Standing still in television production and facilities means you are going backwards. Over the nine years we have been operating we have invested continually to ensure that the television industry in our area can call on the most up to date equipment and facilities around.”
