Directors Cut Upgrade Post Production Facilities

Central London post production house, Directors Cut, has upgraded and expanded facilities to become one of the most up-to-date and complete Avid workflow post production houses of its size.
This is an important step in the company’s 13 year operations as it cements its future at the cutting-edge of post production by creating a one-stop shop for integrated workflows.

Directors Cut facilities now offer a full post production service from ingest and off-line through to Dolby E 5.1 audio mixing. All 14 offline suites have Avid Media Composer version 6 and the Symphony Nitris Dx On-lines will feature the new Avid Artist grading panels, allowing more precise grading in online. Fully air-conditioned, all suites have wired and wireless internet connectivity, PPM audio metering and windows with natural light. These new suites will be connected via a new Avid ISIS storage server which will also connect with their spacious Nucoda Film Master grading suite and their two Pro Tools audio suites.
"With 14 offline suites now available at our central London offices, we have doubled our capacity for output by delivering an efficient workflow solution without bottlenecks. This ensures our clients spend time on the editing process without delays or issues with technology," Manning, continued.
The new suites allow Directors Cut to manage the increasing demands of larger series alongside standalone shows. New projects booked for post production include The Sky South Bank Show, two series from Spun Gold TV and several documentaries from Wild Pictures.
