SPOHRER JOINS ORAD UK AS MANAGING DIRECTOR

RICHARD SPOHRER, former International Product Manager for Softimage, has joined Orad UK as Managing Director.
Spohrer's aim, utilising his past experience in broadcast and post-production, is to extend traditional Orad virtual reality markets and to develop other business opportunities.
With the recent release of Orad's powerful videographics platform, the DVG, new on air graphics and sportscasting products, the company are ideally positioned to expand their marketing base into these areas.
After training as an architect, Spohrer founded one of the UK's first new media consultancies before moving into the field 3D animation. He has written on numerous articles for publications both in Europe and the US and edited CGI Magazine in the UK for 18 months.
Founded in 1993, Orad are one of the world leaders in TV production technology and sports broadcasting tools. Orad's line of products includes virtual sets, on-air graphics systems, virtual advertising and sports production solutions. (CD)
