RTL Group increases stake in Croatian TV channel RTL Televizija

RTL has reached an agreement with Pinta TV3 a acquire its 25% stake in RTL Televizija, the Zagreb-based television channel.
Under the terms of the agreement, RTL Group's shareholding in RTL Televizija increases from 33% to 58%.
The Croatian regulatory authorities have approved the acquisition.
RTL Televizija, launched on April 30 2004, achieved the leading market position in its first full month of operations . The programming schedule of the channel includes news, movies, sitcoms and local productions.
Gerhard Zeiler, Chief Executive Officer of the RTL Group, said: "With this increase, we demonstrate our strong belief in the potential of RTL Televizija."
