Axon Upgrades RTL Nederland

AXON Digital Design has been selected by Dutch broadcaster RTL Nederland has upgraded its news studios 9 and 14 to HD with Axon's Synapse interfacing and conversion product line.

The recently supplied Synapse products enable functions like embedding, de-embedding and up/down/cross conversion. A number of the products can be future upgraded to handle 3Gb/s–signals. One of the modules supplied is the 2HX110, a dual channel HD, SD up/down/cross converter and synchroniser with audio shuffler.
This product is ideal for a hybrid world where analog, SD and HD are used simultaneously. The card allows to simulcast 2 HD signals from 2 native SD or 1 CVBS and an SD infrastructure. This module can de-embed 2x 8 channels out of any of the 16 embedded audio channels of both HD/SD inputs and shuffle these channels. This allows a combination of embedded audio channels from input 1 and embedded audio channels from input 2 in the HD, SD outputs.
