SCOTTISH SCREEN LAUNCH PRODUCERS’EVENING COURSE
SCOTTISH Screen and the Central College of Commerce are offering places on a unique course designed to give aspiring producers a thorough grounding in the basic business skills required to become a successful producer.
The course will commence September 3 and will run for one evening per week for 14 weeks, with supplementary weekend workshops.
The course will be case study led, with participants developing their skills and knowledge whilst working on their own projects. Topics covered will include: budgeting and finance, marketing, business plans, negotiation, presentation and project management and can result in SQA accreditation.
Course participants must have some knowledge and experience of the media industries, a proven determination to work in production and a project on which to
base their study.
